The Clouds layer in ForeFlight displays forecasted cloud coverage based on data from the National Centers for Environmental Protection’s Global Forecast Model (GFS). Cloud coverage is shown in shades of grey to represent different levels of forecasted coverage, such as few, scattered, broken, and overcast.

- Tap the play button next to the time slider to animate cloud coverage changes over the forecast period.
- Adjust the altitude slider to see cloud coverage at different altitudes.

Profile View
The Profile View provides a forecast of cloud coverage and cloud heights along the route based on estimated departure time and time en route. Each waypoint displays the forecasted cloud coverage at the time of crossing. Cloud data in Profile View is not influenced by the map’s altitude or time sliders.
NOTE: This feature requires a ForeFlight Performance Plus subscription.
