After an IFR flight plan has been filed through ForeFlight, an IFR departure clearance can be requested within the supported time window.
The request must be submitted no earlier than 30 minutes before estimated time of departure (ETD) and no later than 105 minutes after ETD.
To request the clearance:
1. Tap Flights to open the Flights view.
2. Open the applicable flight.
3. Tap Start next to Request Clearance Now.
4. Tap Request Clearance.
5. Wait for the request to be processed.
When the request succeeds, an ATC session is established for the flight, and ATC can issue the clearance electronically.
