The Maps view can be used to create a new user waypoint if the location of the point can be found visually (by looking at the Aerial map layer, for example), but the coordinates of that point are unknown.
To create a new user waypoint from the Maps view:
- Go to Maps view.
- From the dropdown in the upper left, select the Aerial Map layer.
- Find the location to save.
- Tap and hold on to the point until the "Add to Route" slide-over appears.
- Next to the coordinates list, tap More.
- Tap Save.
- Enter a name (required), elevation (optional), and description (optional) for the waypoint.
- Tap Save.
User waypoints are listed under More > Custom Content > User Waypoints. This view is where user waypoints can be edited or selected to view on the Map.
To view all user waypoints on the Maps page, from the Maps page, select the User Waypoints map layer from the layer selecter in the upper left corner.
