Fuel price icons on the Maps page in ForeFlight provide a visual representation of fuel costs relative to the average price within a state or region. The color coding is as follows:
- Green: Indicates fuel prices that are relatively lower.
- Orange: Reflects average fuel prices.
- Red: Shows higher-than-average fuel prices.
This regional pricing helps to compare fuel costs in specific areas without factoring in broader geographical differences. For instance, fuel prices in New York may differ significantly from those in Kansas, so grouping prices by state or region offers a more accurate comparison.
Fuel prices are displayed on the Maps view.
NOTE: JetFuelX prices are always displayed in green with a white JFX flag regardless of how they compare to other fuel prices on the field.
These prices:
-
May or may not represent the lowest available price at a given location.
-
Can be higher or lower than posted retail fuel prices.
-
Are determined solely by the contract fuel vendor.
