Fuel price icons on the Maps page show prices relative to an average across a state or region. The coloration has the following meanings:
- Green icons reflect relatively lower fuel prices.
- Orange icons display average relative fuel prices.
- Red icons indicate relatively higher-priced fuel.
Relative fuel pricing by state or region allows you to get a better idea of fuel pricing in areas where you will be purchasing fuel without comparing prices relative to a larger geographical location. For example, fuel prices in New York versus Kansas will be very different, and it is helpful to have pricing grouped by state or region.
