A crosshatched map layer appears when a dynamic map layer (e.g., Radar, Enhanced Satellite, or Clouds) is selected, but data is unavailable in the displayed area. This crosshatching indicates that a map layer is active but currently lacks data in that area, which may be seen when:
- The map is moved to a location outside the weather product’s coverage area (evident if crosshatching disappears and data appears in adjacent regions).
- The Internet, ADS-B, or XM data source is not providing weather data (evident if crosshatching appears over the entire map).
To remove crosshatching from the map:
- Deselect the active map layer that lacks data.
- Confirm an active connection to the Internet, an ADS-B receiver, or an XM receiver. If using ADS-B, altitude may affect reception from ADS-B towers.
- Disable crosshatching that shows the limits of radar coverage by going to More > Settings > Internet Radar Coverage and sliding the switch off.
