ForeFlight does not display all Instrument Approach Procedures (IAPs) for private airports. Some procedures, known as "Special Instrument Procedures," are not published in accordance with 14 CFR Part 97. These procedures require specific Aviation Safety Flight Standards Service (AFS) approval for use (refer to FAA Order 8260.60).
For example, KDZB is a private airport with an existing Special Instrument Procedure that is not published in ForeFlight. On the Airports page, the Procedures section will show "No Approaches," and no procedures will be listed in the Procedures tab.
How to Access Special Instrument Procedures
To gain access to a Special Instrument Procedure, contact the airport manager. Their contact information can be found on the Airports view under Info > Contacts.
