Breadcrumbs are a feature available in all ForeFlight Mobile subscription plans that display a green line on the Map, indicating the flight path from takeoff. When enabled (More > Settings), breadcrumbs automatically show when ground speed exceeds 40 knots and altitude above ground level (AGL) is above 250 feet. Breadcrumbs stop displaying when AGL drops below 250 feet or ground speed falls below 40 knots.
Tapping a breadcrumb trail reveals flight metrics such as duration, distance traveled, and average ground speed. This menu has options to save the breadcrumb as a Track Log or reset the breadcrumb trail. Saving a breadcrumb trail as a Track Log does not interrupt any ongoing Track Log recordings.
Breadcrumbs remain on the Map until manually cleared or after the user-defined time limit is reached without detecting another flight. To adjust how long breadcrumbs are displayed after landing, go to More > Settings > Breadcrumbs Clear After and choose a preferred time option (15 minutes, 30 minutes, 1 hour, 2 hours, or 4 hours.).
NOTE: Breadcrumbs do not record pitch, bank, or gLoad data.
