Yes, the logbook is automatically backed up to ForeFlight's servers and synced across all devices associated with the account as long as sync is enabled on the device. To enable sync on an iPad or iPhone, follow these steps:
- Open ForeFlight Mobile.
- Navigate to More > Settings.
- Slide the switch on next to Sync Data To/From Device.
If the ForeFlight Mobile app is deleted or a device is damaged, the logbook can be viewed on any device logged into the same account.
Also, consider using the ForeFlight Logbook auto-export feature, which enables automated delivery of logbook files to the email address associated with the ForeFlight account every 30 days. This feature ensures a regular backup of logbook data using the following two export format options:
