Following the FAA structure, an airman certificate is a top-level qualification in ForeFlight Logbook. Separate certificates are issued for pilots, flight instructors, and other types of airmen.
A rating specifies the types or operations or aircraft for which the certificate holder is authorized. Each rating must be attached to a specific certificate in ForeFlight.
