When paired to an iPad or iPhone, ForeFlight can use data from a Flight Stream 110, 210, or 510. The Flight Streams support simultaneous Bluetooth connections to two devices.
Connecting to a Flight Stream 110
To connect to a Flight Stream 110:
- Turn the Flight Stream on. Bluetooth pairing mode will become active.
- Open the iPad or iPhone's Settings app.
- Select Bluetooth.
- Connect to the Flight Stream 110.
After pairing the iPad or iPhone with the Flight Stream, open ForeFlight Mobile and go to the More page. Tap the Devices tab. A box for Garmin Connext will be shown. The tile will indicate that the connection is established and which data type is being received through the Flight Stream.
Tapping the Garmin Connext tile will open the device's status page, providing detailed information about the device and the data being received.
Connecting to a Flight Stream 210 or 510
To connect to a Flight Stream 210 connected to a GNS Navigator or a Flight Stream 510 installed in a GTN 650/750 or 650Xi/750Xi Navigator:
- Turn the Flight Stream on.
- Open the GNS's or GTN's Bluetooth configuration page. The Flight Stream will enter pairing mode. If the Flight Stream 210 is not connected to a GNS Navigator, it will automatically enter pairing mode one minute after turning it on.
- Open the iPad or iPhone's Settings app.
- Select Bluetooth.
- Connect to the Flight Stream 210 or 510.
After pairing the iPad or iPhone with the Flight Stream, open ForeFlight Mobile and go to the More page. Tap the Devices tab. A box for Garmin Connext will be shown. The tile will indicate that the connection is established and which data type is being received through the Flight Stream.
NOTE: If the Garmin Connext box is not visible, forget the Bluetooth connection using the GNS or GTN device, then try pairing again.
Tapping the Garmin Connext tile will open the device's status page, providing detailed information about the device and the data being received.
