Fuel price icons on the Maps page show prices relative to an average across a state or region.
Green colored icons reflect lower relative fuel prices, orange icons display average relative fuel prices, and red icons display relatively higher priced fuel.
Relative fuel pricing by state or region allows you to get a better idea of fuel pricing in areas you will be purchasing fuel without having comparisons made that will be very different. For example, fuel prices in New York versus Kansas will be very different and it is helpful to have pricing grouped by state or region.
