VFR waypoints, checkpoints, and visual reporting points are part of the ForeFlight Aeronautical Map. When flying in the U.S., Canada, Europe, Australia, or South Africa, they can be added to a route like any other waypoint.
NOTE: VFR waypoints, checkpoints, and visual reporting points are unavailable outside the U.S., Canada, Europe, Australia, or South Africa. To add these points to a route, make them into user waypoints.
Adding VFR Waypoints to a Route
To add a VFR waypoint or visual reporting point to a route, follow these steps:
STEP 1. On the Maps view, ensure that VFR Waypoints are turned on in the Map Theme Aeronautical Settings menu.

STEP 2. Tap a VFR waypoint to display its details in the sidebar, which includes the element's name, its ForeFlight (FF) identifier used in flight plan filing, its type, whether or not it is a compulsory reporting point, and its associated airfield if applicable.
STEP 2. At the top of the Waypoint Details sidebar, tap Add to Route to add the VFR waypoint to a route.
Once the waypoint has been added to the route, it is displayed in the FPL Editor. The waypoint bubble includes the waypoint's name followed by the associated airfield in parentheses or the waypoint's name followed by its VFR identifier (e.g., 91/605 Interchange-VPLFX).
