Creating a KML Shape File from existing user waypoints ensures waypoints remain visible on the map. Without using a KML Shape File, ForeFlight dynamically declutters user waypoints in the map view. Using KML Shape Files prevents this decluttering and allows for customization (e.g., colors, icons), making it easier to distinguish waypoints.
