Yes. If Controller Pilot Data Link Communications (CPDLC) is not required, the aircraft registration number can be entered in Field 19, subfield N/, instead of the REG/ subfield.
In ForeFlight, this information is entered in the aircraft profile or filing form under Emergency > Survival Equipment Remarks. Enter REG: immediately followed by the complete aircraft registration number, including the N, with no spaces. For example, enter REG:N12345. If other information is included in the field, separate it from the REG: entry with a space.
If both REG/ and REG: are specified, ForeFlight automatically removes the REG/ entry before transmitting the flight plan to air traffic control (ATC).
Field 19 is not transmitted to ATC or made available through System Wide Information Management (SWIM). However, the information remains available to Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) personnel for emergency response or pilot contact.
