Yes. Landing performance calculations are available if the Aircraft Flight Manual provides landing data related to surface conditions. Generally, these include actual distances for dry, wet, and contaminated runway surfaces.
The Performance section in ForeFlight Mobile or ForeFlight on the Web includes a Landing Factor input field where a landing distance multiplier of 1.0 or greater can be set. The landing factor provides an additional safety margin, ensuring a successful stop can be accomplished within a portion of the available landing distance.
The standard landing factor values available are:
- 1.0 (Actual Landing Distance)
- 1.25 (80% Dry)
- 1.44 (80% Wet)
- 1.67 (60% Dry)
- 1.92 (60% Wet)
A unique landing factor can also be input.
The Landing factor value can be defined in ForeFlight Mobile by going to Aircraft > [Select the Aircraft] > Field Performance > Landing Factor.
The Landing factor value can be defined in ForeFlight on the Web by going to Aircraft > [Select the Aircraft]. In the Performance section under Runway Analysis, Select Update Defaults. Select the Landing Factor field. After the new input is entered, select the Save button.
