Takeoff and landing distances may not vary with headwinds beyond a certain point because most aircraft manufacturers provide performance data for headwind components only up to a specified limit, typically 30 knots. For any headwind component exceeding this limit, the performance calculations will default to the maximum published headwind value. Therefore, flights with headwinds stronger than the published maximum will show the same runway performance results as those using the maximum allowable headwind in the calculations.
