Purchasing a ForeFlight Subscription
To purchase or renew a ForeFlight subscription, visit foreflight.com/pricing.
- Use the same email address as your previous account to retain existing data.
- Select your desired base region during checkout.

When upgrading or modifying your subscription (e.g., adding chart coverage), you’ll receive a prorated credit for the remaining value of your current plan that will apply towards your new 1-year subscription.
Note: Changes to email, password, or payment method do not trigger a renewal.
Troubleshooting ForeFlight Purchase Issues
Credit or Debit Card Declined
If your card is repeatedly declined, the issue may stem from your issuing bank. Common causes include:
- Incorrect card number, CVV code, or billing ZIP code.
- Expired card.
- Bank restrictions on the transaction.
Steps to Resolve:
- Verify your card details (number, CVV, ZIP code, expiration date).
- Contact your issuing bank to confirm no blocks or restrictions exist.

Try an alternative payment method:
- Use a different credit or debit card.
- Select PayPal at checkout on foreflight.com/pricing.
Using an American Express Card
American Express payments are processed only in US Dollars (USD).
- Ensure the currency is set to USD during checkout.
- Use the four-digit CVV code on the front of the card, not the three-digit code on the back.
Subscription Disappeared
If your subscription is no longer accessible:
- Group Account Issue: Your employer or flight school may have added you to a multi-pilot account. Your individual account’s remaining value is converted to a store credit, and you can now use the group account. Contact your account administrator for details.

Other Issues: If you successfully purchased a subscription but it’s unavailable, email team@foreflight.com to request assistance. To help us find and restore the disappeared account, please supply us with:
- Your full legal name.
- Date of birth.
- Country of citizenship.

Switching from a Personal to a Business Account
To convert your personal account to a multi-pilot (business) account, email team@foreflight.com with:
- The airport identifier where your flight operation is based.
- The type(s) of aircraft flown.
- The number of pilots in your operation.
Changing Your Account Email Address
Update your email address in one of two ways:
- On the Web: Log in at plan.foreflight.com/account, update the "Username (email)" field, and click "Update."
- In ForeFlight Mobile (iPad): Go to More > Account Logins, tap your email address, and update it.
Switching from a Group Account to an Individual License
To remove yourself from a multi-pilot account and purchase an individual license:

Contact your group account administrator to remove your email from the organization. They can do this via ForeFlight Web: Users > [Your Username/email address] > Remove.
NOTE: Once your account is removed, the Pilot Support Team cannot re-add your account to the group account. This will require an account administrator to re-add you to the group account if needed.
Once removed, then you can purchase an individual subscription at foreflight.com/pricing using the same email address.
