The "Winds" timestamp in the upper right-hand corner of Navlogs indicates the time of the wind observation used to derive the forecast winds. For example:
Winds Feb 25 2025 1200Z
This notation means the forecast winds in the Navlog are based on wind data collected at 1200Z on February 25, 2025.

Wind Data Collection and Processing
Wind data is collected every 6 hours at 0000Z, 0600Z, 1200Z, and 1800Z. The collected data is analyzed and modeled to generate a set of wind forecasts. The forecasting process takes several hours before being disseminated to companies such as ForeFlight for use in flight planning.
The timestamp provides users with a reference point for when the underlying wind data was last observed before being used in the forecast model.
