ForeFlight issues data updates according to the AIRAC 28-day cycle.
Changeover Time
New data becomes active at specific changeover times based on regional standards. The changeover time used on the device is determined by its current geographical location, not the location where the data applies.
For instance, if the device is located in the U.S., new European plate data will become active at 0901Z, following the U.S. standard.

Downloading Updates
Data updates in ForeFlight Mobile can be downloaded starting four days before the cycle changeover, typically on the Sunday prior. If the data is downloaded early, it will not be displayed in the app until it becomes active. When ForeFlight Mobile is opened after the new data becomes active, the app automatically begins using the updated data and deletes the old data from the device. No additional steps are required.
