Military Flight Bag (MFB) customers can customize Hazard Advisor altitudes from the Flight Plan (FPL) viewer on the Maps view or the Hazard Settings button when the Hazard Advisor map layer is enabled on the Maps view.
Option 1: Customizing Hazard Advisor Altitudes from the Flight Plan Viewer
To customize the Hazard Advisor altitude from the Flight Plan viewer, perform the following steps:
STEP 1. From the Maps view, select the FPL button to view the Flight Plan viewer.
STEP 2. Enter a route in the Flight Plan editor if one has not already been entered.
STEP 3. Select Profile.
STEP 4. Tap the Settings button (gear icon) in the Flight Plan viewer.
STEP 5. Tap Hazard Altitudes.
STEP 6. Tap Custom (only available with With MFB).
STEP 7. Tap Back. A Custom Altitudes section will be displayed in the Hazard Settings popover.
STEP 8. Enter the desired altitudes (range: 0’ to 99,999’) in the Alert Altitude and Caution Altitude fields. Ensure the Caution Altitude is higher than or equal to the Alert Altitude.
Option 2: Customizing Hazard Advisor Altitudes from the Map Layer Settings
To customize the Hazard Advisor altitudes from the Hazard Advisor map layer settings, perform the following steps:
STEP 1. From the Maps view, select Hazard Advisor from the map layer drop-down in the upper left corner. A hazard legend and hazards setting view will appear at the bottom of the Maps view.
STEP 2. Select the Hazard Settings button (gear icon). The Hazard Settings popup will appear.
STEP 3. Tap Hazard Altitudes from the popup.
STEP 4. Tap Custom (only available with With MFB).
STEP 5. Tap Back. In the Hazard Settings popover, a Custom Altitudes section is displayed.
STEP 6. Enter the desired altitudes (range: 0’ to 99,999’) in the Alert Altitude and Caution Altitude fields. Ensure the Caution Altitude is higher than or equal to the Alert Altitude.
