Flight Plan Uplink enables the retrieval of a filed flight plan directly into compatible onboard avionics systems. This is achieved using a recall number provided in the ForeFlight NavLog. The feature reduces workload by streamlining the process of loading flight plans into supported Flight Management Systems (FMS).
Requirements for Flight Plan Uplink
To use Flight Plan Uplink:
- A Premium or Business Performance ForeFlight subscription is required.
- The aircraft must be equipped with datalink-capable hardware.
- A datalink service provider, such as Satcom Direct, Collins, or Honeywell GoDirect, is needed.
- Flight plans must be filed through ForeFlight to generate the recall number.
How to Sign Up
To set up Flight Plan Uplink, follow these steps:
- Log in to ForeFlight Web.
- Select Aircraft from the left-hand menu.
- Choose the aircraft to configure.
- Select Data Link Provider in the DATA LINK PROVIDER section.
- Choose the appropriate service provider from the list.
- Scroll to the Filing section.
- Enter the Filing Registration in the REG field under Other Information.
