When creating a Simulator profile in ForeFlight Logbook, fewer fields are available compared to an Aircraft profile. Each field ensures accurate reporting and currency updates in the Logbook. The fields are:
-
Equipment Type:
Determines whether a Simulator or Aircraft is being created. -
Simulator Name:
- Acts as the primary identifier for the simulator.
- Appears in all reports and Logbook entries.
- Use a descriptive name for easy differentiation between simulators and aircraft.
-
Represented Aircraft Type:
- Specifies the aircraft type the simulator represents.
- Used to associate Logbook data for type-specific currency updates, such as FAA 61.56.
- Displayed in parenthesis within Logbook entries and reports.
-
Represented Aircraft Category/Class:
- Defines the category and class of the represented aircraft.
- Used to associate Logbook data for category/class-specific currency updates, such as General, Night, and Type currency.
