The OneDrive integration does not support a direct link to a SharePoint folder. However, a SharePoint folder that is shared with a OneDrive account and linked to that OneDrive account is supported.
To enable this setup, follow these steps:
Sharing the SharePoint Folder with a OneDrive Account
- On the SharePoint site, navigate to the Documents library.
- Select the folder to share.
- Click the Share button in the top-level menu.
- Enter the username of the OneDrive account to share the folder with.
- Click Send.
Accessing the Shared Folder in OneDrive
- Log in to the OneDrive account of the user who received the shared folder.
- Click on Shared in the left-hand menu to locate the shared folder.
Using the Shared Folder in ForeFlight
- Once the shared folder appears in OneDrive, specify that folder name as the folder to sync within ForeFlight.
By following these steps, the shared SharePoint folder can be accessed via OneDrive and used within ForeFlight Mobile.
NOTE: When attempting to link a OneDrive folder that has been shared through SharePoint, OneDrive may prepend the SharePoint site name to the actual folder name. For example, a folder shared as Company Documents may appear in OneDrive as [Company Name] - Company Documents.
Solution:
When specifying the folder name in ForeFlight, enter only the original folder name, not the full name with the SharePoint site prefix. This adjustment allows ForeFlight to correctly locate and link the shared folder.
