If a new account was created for a pilot in an organization and the administrator later finds out they have an existing ForeFlight subscription under their personal email address, follow these steps to move their existing account to the organization.
If a Specific Email Address Format is Not Required
Remove the newly created account from the organization account by doing the following:
STEP 1: Go to ForeFlight on the Web.
STEP 2: Log in as an Administrator.
STEP 3: Select Users from the left column.
STEP 4: On the Users view, select the Users tab if not already selected.
STEP 5: Click Remove next to the newly created account, which is now unwanted.
STEP 6: Select Add User.
STEP 7: Select the Email Address option.
STEP 8: Enter the user’s email addresses with which their existing account is associated.
STEP 9: Click Add Users.
If a Specific Email Address Format is Required
If the organization requires using a specific email address format and an account was already created for a particular email address, the unwanted account email address should be edited (as described below) and then removed. The pilot’s account can then be added, and then the email address on that account can be updated to the one desired. To accomplish this, follow these steps:
STEP 1: Go to ForeFlight on the Web.
STEP 2: Log in as an Administrator.
STEP 3: Select Users from the left column.
STEP 4: On the Users view, select the Users tab if not already selected.
STEP 5: Click on the email address in question.
STEP 6: Click Edit in the Personal Information section.
STEP 7: Add the word “delete” to the end of the email address.
STEP 8: Click Update.
STEP 9: Select Users from the left column.
STEP 10: On the Users view, select the Users tab if not already selected.
STEP 11: Click Remove next to the account that was newly created and is now unwanted.
STEP 12: Select Add User.
STEP 13: Select the Email Address option.
STEP 14: Enter the user’s email addresses with which their existing account is associated.
STEP 15: Click Add Users.
Once the pilot has accepted the invitation, the pilot can update the email address on their account to be under the email address desired by the organization. The administrator can also change the email address on the user’s account by doing the following:
STEP 1: Go to ForeFlight on the Web.
STEP 2: Log in as an Administrator.
STEP 3: Select Users from the left column.
STEP 4: On the Users view, select the Users tab if not already selected.
STEP 5: Click on the email address to change.
STEP 6: Click Edit in the Personal Information section.
STEP 7: Enter the desired email address.
STEP 8: Click Update.
