Most contract fuel vendors update prices automatically. For vendors that do not, prices can be updated manually using properly formatted comma-separated values (CSV) files. Not all vendors provide CSV files.
Manual Importation of CSV Price Files
To manually import a vendor-provided CSV price file into JetFuelX, complete the following steps:
1. Log in to ForeFlight on the Web.
2. Select JetFuelX from the sidebar.
3. Select the Contract Fuel Card associated with the CSV file.
4. Click Upload fuel prices.
5. Drag and drop the vendor's CSV price file from the computer, or click Browse your computer and use the next window to locate/open the vendor's CSV price file.
6. Select Import prices.
ForeFlight will process the file, and the updated prices will appear in ForeFlight Mobile and ForeFlight on the Web.
Forwarding CSV Price Files via Email
If a vendor provides CSV price files via email, these files can be manually forwarded or auto-forwarded to JetFuelX using a unique import email address.
To forward vendor CSV files via email:
1. Log in to ForeFlight on the Web.
2. Select JetFuelX from the sidebar.
3. Select the Contract Fuel Card associated with the CSV file.
4. Click Upload fuel prices.
5. Copy the unique import email address.
6. Use the email address in one of the following ways:
a. Provide the address to the fuel vendor for direct sending.
b. Manually forward the CSV price files to the address.
c. Set up an auto-forwarding rule with the email provider.
NOTE: If email forwarding requires recipient verification, automatic updates via email may not work.
