ForeFlight Mobile can connect to the Avidyne IFD540, IFD550, & IFD440 FMS/GPS/NAV/COMs via Wi-Fi connection. The Wi-Fi connection sends GPS position data to ForeFlight, and for an IFD running firmware 10.2 or later, a 2-way flight plan transfer between the IFD and ForeFlight Mobile.
Avidyne IFD devices running firmware 10.2.3.1 or later can send ADS-B weather and traffic data from a compatible ADS-B receiver to ForeFlight Mobile. Contact Avidyne for a list of ADS-B receivers compatible with IFD devices.
