The valid time shown on the 12 HR Probability of Precipitation (PoP) charts is the ending time (valid until) of the 12-hour valid period. For example, a PoP chart labeled as valid at 12Z on November 14 (Valid:12Z THU Nov 14 2024) means it covers the forecast period from 00:00Z to 12:00Z on November 14.
In contrast, the valid time shown on prog charts is the time printed on the chart.
