How can user waypoints be created from the Maps view in ForeFlight Mobile?

User waypoints allow positions to be marked on the map for use in flight planning. Once created, they are synced across all devices on the same ForeFlight account.

Steps to Create User Waypoints

To create user waypoints directly on the map, follow these steps:

STEP 1. Open the Maps view.

STEP 2. Long-tap the location on the map where the user waypoint will be created.

STEP 3. In the Add to Route sidebar, tap More in the Location row.

STEP 4. Select Save.

STEP 5. In the User Waypoint menu, review the prefilled Name and Location fields:

These fields are required but can be edited.
Changing the Location field moves the waypoint to a new position on the map.

Optionally, fill in the Elevation and Description fields to add more information to the waypoint details.

STEP 7. Tap Save to store the user waypoint to the ForeFlight account.

Interacting with User Waypoints

User waypoints on the map can be tapped to view details about the user waypoint in the Maps view sidebar.
User waypoints can be added to a route.
User waypoints can be edited or deleted from the account.
Additional user waypoints can also be created using the Custom Content view or Map Search.
