ForeFlight offers discounts on ForeFlight Mobile subscriptions for CFIs through the CFI Referral Program and for members of the Society of Aviation and Flight Educators (SAFE) and the National Association of Flight Instructors (NAFI).
NOTE: The CFI Referral Program discounts cannot be combined with a SAFE or NAFI discount, and multiple discounts or promotions cannot be applied to the same account.
CFI Referral Program
Certified Flight Instructors with an active ForeFlight Mobile subscription that includes the U.S. region are eligible to earn up to 100% off their subscription through the CFI Referral Program.
Discount Overview
The CFI Referral Program allows CFIs to introduce new student pilots to ForeFlight Mobile and receive discounts based on referral activity.
How the Program Works
To begin earning discounts:
- Enable Instructor Tools in ForeFlight Logbook.
- Add a CFI certificate number and configure a digital signature in the Logbook Settings menu.
- Send Invitations using the My Rewards banner. Each invite includes a unique referral link that tracks referrals and provides students with a 10% discount.
- Track Rewards through the My Rewards section. When a referred student completes five signed logbook entries, a reward is earned.
- Earn Discounts incrementally:
- 20% discount for the first qualifying referral.
- 5% discount for each additional qualifying referral.
- Discounts accumulate up to 100%.
- Redeem Rewards at any time within 12 months of the first invitation. Rewards can be applied immediately or stacked for greater savings.
Eligibility and Limitations
The following eligibility and limitations apply:
- Only individual ForeFlight Mobile subscribers are eligible. ForeFlight Business and Military accounts do not qualify.
- Referred students must be new users who have not previously held a paid ForeFlight subscription.
- Discounts from the CFI Referral Program cannot be combined with other promotions or offers.
Student Benefits
Students invited through the program receive a 10% discount on any ForeFlight Mobile subscription if they subscribe within 35 days using the referral link.
Reward Expiration
Rewards must be redeemed within 12 months of the initial referral invitation. ForeFlight issues reminder emails before expiration.

SAFE or NAFI Member Discounts
ForeFlight has partnered with the Society of Aviation and Flight Educators (SAFE) and the National Association of Flight Instructors (NAFI) to offer 15% off the regular annual price of Essential and Premium ForeFlight Mobile subscriptions.
Current SAFE and NAFI members can confirm eligibility on the Discount Eligibility Page and may renew early or upgrade a plan to apply the discount.
Retroactive discounts or partial refunds are not available.
