Track logs can be recorded automatically or manually. Once recorded, track logs can be reviewed from the Track Logs view. 

Recording a Track Log Automatically

To record a track log automatically, 

1. Open ForeFlight and go to More > Settings.
2. Turn the switch on next to Enable Auto Start/Stop.
3. Connect to a GPS source if your iPad has no built-in GPS receiver.
4. Before and during the takeoff roll, have ForeFlight open and displayed.

Recording a Track Log Manually

To record a track log manually, 

1. Open ForeFlight and go to More > Settings.
2. Turn the switch on next to Enable Start/Stop Control.
3. Connect to a GPS source if your iPad has no built-in GPS receiver.
4. Go to the Maps page.
5. Tap the REC button when ready to start a track log recording.
6. Tap the REC button when ready to stop a track log recording.

Viewing Recorded Track Logs

To view a recorded track log,

1. Open ForeFlight and go to More > Track Logs.
2. Select the track log from the list.
