In both ForeFlight Mobile and ForeFlight Web you will be offered three different briefing formats, Graphical (HTML), Graphical (PDF), Classic (Text). Try generating a briefing for a future flight using each format to see which one works best for you. You do not have to file the flight plan to generate the briefing.
For flights within the U.S. all three briefing types, Graphical (HTML), Graphical (PDF), Classic (Text), are available. Regardless of your selection, any flights outside of the U.S. will result in an international Graphical PDF briefing being generated.
More information about the briefing can be found in the Pilot's Guide to ForeFlight Mobile. You can also view this guide in ForeFlight Mobile under *DOCUMENTS* -> *CATALOG*-> *FOREFLIGHT*.
Briefings formats are shared between all devices signed-in to your ForeFlight account through the Sync setting. Since synced information is stored in the cloud, changes made on one device will automatically be delivered to your other internet-connected devices. More information about the Sync setting can be found in the Pilot's Guide to ForeFlight Mobile.
