Stratus devices can record high-resolution 5Hz Track Logs (~5 samples per second) using the Flight Data Recorder feature. This feature captures data directly to the Stratus's memory, providing greater detail than the standard 1Hz Track Logs recorded by ForeFlight Mobile.

Enable the Flight Data Recorder

To record the higher-resolution Track Logs, follow the steps below:

1. Connect the iPad or iPhone to the Stratus device.
2. Open ForeFlight Mobile.
3. Navigate to More > Devices > Stratus.
4. Scroll to the Flight Data Recorder section and enable the feature.

Import Track Logs from Stratus

To access Flight Data Recorder Track Logs, follow the steps below. 

1. Connect the iPad or iPhone to the Stratus device.
2. Open ForeFlight Mobile.
3. Navigate to More > Devices > Stratus.
4. Scroll to the Flight Data Recorder.
5. Tap Track Logs.
6. Select a Track Log with a download symbol to transfer it to ForeFlight Mobile. 

The cloud button will no longer be displayed after a Track Log has been transferred from the Stratus to ForeFlight Mobile. 

Download High-Resolution Track Logs on ForeFlight Web

To download the higher-resolution Track Log from the account in ForeFlight on the Web, follow the steps below. 

1. Log in to ForeFlight on the Web.
2. Go to the Track Logs section.
3. Select a Track Log from the list.
4. Click the Download button in the upper-right corner of the Track Log view.
5. Choose either KML (Full) or CSV format for download.

Using the 5Hz data, Track Logs offer enhanced detail for post-flight analysis and visualization.
