When using ForeFlight Mobile with an external GPS device like Stratus, the recorded Track Logs are captured at a frequency of 1Hz, meaning that approximately one sample per second is recorded. However, The Stratus Flight Data Recorder automatically records a higher-resolution 5Hz (~5 samples per second) Track Log directly to the Stratus's memory.
To record the higher-resolution Track Logs, follow the steps below:
- Connect to your Stratus.
- Open ForeFlight Mobile and go to More > Devices > Stratus.
- Scroll down and Enable the Flight Data Recorder.
