How do I import an FPL file into ForeFlight Mobile without a connection to the Internet?

A ForeFlight FPL file can be imported into ForeFlight Mobile via Finder (Mac) or iTunes (Windows) without internet access.

NOTE: Altitude, speed, and step climb information are not imported with FPL files.

To import an FPL file into ForeFlight Mobile using a Mac computer when no Internet connection is available, follow these steps:

STEP 1. Connect the iPad or iPhone to the Mac computer using a cable.

STEP 2. Open Finder on the Mac.

STEP 3. Click on the iPad/iPhone in the Finder sidebar. The iPad/iPhone view will open.

STEP 4. Click on the Files tab.

STEP 5. Select ForeFlight from the list of apps.

STEP 6. Drag the FPL file from your computer into the ForeFlight files area in Finder.

The route will automatically open in ForeFlight Mobile.

STEP 1. Connect the iPad or iPhone to the Windows computer with a cable.

STEP 2. Open iTunes on the computer.

STEP 3. Click on the Device Icon in iTunes.

STEP 4. Select File Sharing from the menu on the left.

STEP 5. Click on ForeFlight in the list of apps.

STEP 6. Drag the FPL file into the ForeFlight Documents area.

STEP 7. Click Done and unplug the iPad or iPhone from the computer.

The route will then open in ForeFlight Mobile.
