How do I calibrate the AHRS display that is getting data from a Garmin GTX-345?

To calibrate the AHRS display in ForeFlight Mobile when using data from a Garmin GTX-345, follow these steps:

STEP 1. Connect the GTX-345 to the iPad.

STEP 2. Open ForeFlight Mobile.

STEP 3. Go to the Maps page.

STEP 4. Tap the AHRS button at the top of the screen (it looks like an attitude indicator).

STEP 5. Tap the AHRS Settings button (gear icon) above the fullscreen button in the attitude display. This will activate the Zero Pitch & Bank mode, and a blue Save button will appear in the upper-left corner.

STEP 6. Adjust the aircraft so it is straight and level.

STEP 7. Tap the Zero Pitch & Bank button to reset the AHRS display to level.

STEP 8. Tap the Save button to complete and save the AHRS calibration.

NOTE: An avionics shop must calibrate the pitch and roll values for the GTX-345 AHRS during installation.
