Method 1 (For ForeFlight version 10.1 or later.)
If you have turned the logging switch to ON using the Stratus status page, a log file will be created that contains various data messages received during flight. The contents of these files are not useful for your needs, but they can be useful for troubleshooting by the ForeFlight Pilot Support Team.
To send us the Stratus log files that are stored on your iPad or iPhone, please follow these steps:
STEP 1. Within the ForeFlight app go to MORE > DEVICES.
STEP 2. In the blue banner at the top, tap on the word DEVICES three times.

STEP 3. From the popover that appears, select ALL DATES.

STEP 4. Select the MAIL app or another app you use to for your email.

STEP 5. From the email window that appears, enter 'team@foreflight.com' in the TO field, in the subject line enter your case number if you have one, and then select the SEND button.

Method 2 (For app versions prior to 10.1.)

To send us the Stratus log files that are stored on your iPad or iPhone, please follow these steps:
STEP 1. Connect the iPad or iPhone to the computer using the device's USB cable.
STEP 2. Start iTunes.
STEP 3. Click on the icon for your device at the top of iTunes.

STEP 4. Click on (1) FILE SHARING on the left side of the screen and then click on (2) FOREFLIGHT.
Image 2. Click on FILE SHARING and then click on FOREFLIGHT.
STEP 5. In the ForeFlight Documents section, click on the "stratus-logs-..." folder(s) you wish to export.
Image 3. Click on the "stratus-logs-..." folder(s).
STEP 6. Click SAVE TO in the lower-right corner to save the Stratus log file or click and drag the file out of iTunes to the desired location (Desktop, folder, etc...).

STEP 7. Select the stratus-logs... folder(s) and then right-click and choose “Compress...” (Mac OS X) or “Send to > Compressed (zipped folder)” (Windows).
If the compressed archive is too large to email, you can share it with us via Dropbox. To do this, email us the link to the shared DropBox file or folder. Please have the link setting set to the "Anyone with the link can view this file" option.
