A crosshatched map layer is displayed if a dynamic map layer is selected (e.g., Radar, Enhanced Satellite, or Clouds) and data is unavailable. This feature is intended to inform pilots that a map layer is selected, but no data is available. The crosshatched map layer is displayed when:
- The map is zoomed to a location outside the weather product's coverage area.
- The Internet, ADS-B, or XM data sources are not providing weather data.
To remove the crosshatched, deselect the map layer until data is available for the weather product.
Example of Radar not available crosshatching.
