Why do I see a No Radar or Satellite crosshatch?

If you have selected the Radar (or Satellite) layer on the Maps page without an Internet, ADS-B, or XM weather data source, then you will get a crosshatch warning. This is a safety feature that indicates you have the weather layer selected but there is no data to display.

You can also get this crosshatching if your device has not yet received any data or you're outside of the radar coverage area for your device.

To remove the crosshatch, simply deselect the Radar (or Satellite) layer in the upper left corner of the MAPS page until you have access to the internet or connect to an ADS-B or XM receiver.
