What is the crosshatch stating No Radar or Satellite?

If you have selected the Radar (or Satellite) layer on the Maps page but you have no Internet, ADS-B, or XM weather data source, then you will get this crosshatch warning.  This is a safety feature that tells you that while you think you have the layer displayed, you are actually not getting any data to display.  You can also get this crosshatching if you just turned on a device connected to ForeFlight that provides radar, but it has not yet received that data.

You can also get this crosshatching if you just turned on a device connected to ForeFlight that provides radar, but it has not yet received that data.

Last, you will get crosshatching in areas outside of the radar coverage area for your device.

To remove the crosshatch, simply deselect the Radar (or Satellite) layer in the upper left corner of the MAPS page until you have access to the internet or connect to an ADS-B or XM receiver.
