Below is a chart that shows how often ForeFlight checks for updates to various types of data when connected to the internet.

Weather Markers (for map)	Every 5 minutes (Every 1 minute within the top of the hour*)
Winds Aloft Markers (for map)	Every 10 minutes (Every 2 minutes within the top of the hour*)
Winds (Temps) and Winds (Speeds)	Every 2 minutes
TFRs	Every 10 minutes
Fuel Prices	Every 60 minutes
Airport NOTAMs	Every 10 minutes

* ForeFlight checks for data updates more frequently during the period of time between 8 minutes before the hour and 12 minutes after the hour.
